In recent years, this approach to modern city living has grown on me. The process of making everything from scratch is economical and sustainable; but, most importantly to me, it is also creatively, intellectually and emotionally fulfilling.

While I don’t have a garden, or a chicken coop, or any of that fun stuff, I do make kombucha and fresh cheese and grow the occasional herb.
